Pathway to Positivity

Five simple ways to live a positive life: Life can be down sometimes; However, everything manages to work out in the long run. Although you can not, edit your past, you are constantly writing your present and future, so make sure it’s a positive one.


Striving to see the glass half full, as opposed to half empty, is not always as easy as it sounds. A lot of the times, people and situations can appear deceiving, leaving us restless and feeling as though some of the time and effort we put into things is useless. It’s time to turn the negativity around! Focus on what is in front of you because you can not change what happened in the past; However, you are capable of forming more positive future for yourself and for those you surround yourself with

Life is unexpected. Life is full of challenges. Life is full of surprises.


Although there are many ways to gain more positive outlook on life itself, sometimes it is easier to rely on or get some help from another source. I am here to tell you, and help you begin your journey to live a more positive life, with these simple five steps.

Accept the fact that negativity is NOT Forever:

Negativity is a choice and although it may be difficult to come to terms with, positivity will always outweigh negativity. If you are in search of more positive lifestyle, you must rid yourself of all things that bring you sorrow: toxic relationships and friendships, negative influences {ie poor life choices and decisions}, and others.

It is hard to live a positive life, when you have a weight of negative influences pulling you down. Focus on hobbies that bring you happiness and begin to surround yourself with people who give you purpose. Once you have the basic foundation of happiness and positivity, everything will be clear.

Focus on what you are doing right in life, rather than what you have done wrong; However, if there is something that you would like to change about what you have been doing, it is never too late. Perfection does not exist, just do not strive for it. Nobody is perfect and ultimately, perfection should not be your goal. It will take time, and it will not always be easy, but it is never too late to eliminate the negativity from your life.

Be you and be happy:

You are one of a kind, and there is no possibility of anybody else being even close to the person you are: physically, emotionally, mentally, etc. Embrace and cherish everything about yourself that you have, whether it is genetically given to you or physically given to you.

Nobody is living in the exact same life situation as you are, so you have to be happy with it and for yourself, in order to live an externally positive and happy life. Gain your own confidence by appreciating the way you look and what you have, and do not let others gain satisfaction by putting you down because most of the time, people put others down in order to feel good about themselves. Compliment yourself every day and tell yourself how amazing you truly are. Remind yourself that you have a purpose and that is why you were brought to life.

Live for today … not tomorrow … not yesterday:

Focus on what is happening right before your eyes, rather than thinking about alternative or unrealistic situations. Give all your attention to those around you at a given moment. You are reading this blog post, because that is what you are supposed to be doing.

Do not freak out about the future, because if you are dedicating so much of your time to worrying about that, you are not letting those around you or your current experiences, impact your life the way they are meant to. The best thing that you can do is live in the moment. The world is constantly changing and you will continually be surprised with the outcomes. There will be ups, and there will be downs, but ultimately they will help shape your future.

Inspire others and yourself:

Have you ever realized that when one of your friends is down, so are you? That being said, some feelings and emotions can be contagious, so why not inspire positivity, kindness, and happiness. By being happy yourself, people all around you will feed off your energy and ultimately it can reverse their bad moods.

Smile at others often and they will eventually start to smile back. Laugh regularly because it is not only healthy laughter by increasing cortisol levels and relieving stress within the body, but it also has the ability to establish bond between two people. Incorporate laughter into your daily schedule by looking up silly pictures, telling jokes to friends and / or family, or playing laughter inducing games.

Never be the person to put another down, because the guilt within will begin to eat at you, and negativity is never a good idea. Inspire others to be confident in their own skin. Inspire others to have a great day and smile, even if they’re not in the best mood because a smile is a person’s best accessory. Inspire people to get involved in communal or worldly events to make a difference. Inspire greatness and share positivity with those around you.

It takes time:

Know that it is not possible to switch your mindset from negative to positive in just the blink of an eye. You must realize that everything takes time. It is possible that changing your mindset will be easy, in comparison to others; However, it takes patience to incorporate a positive lifestyle.

Nothing takes a day to build, and it is definitely possible for you to fall back to things, but only you have the ability to change yourself. Motivate and encourage yourself to be positive every day, and you will begin to recognize the differences in your moods, your actions, and your beliefs. With a positive mindset, you have the ability to accomplish so much and make a lasting impact on the life you live today.
